UrbanSketchers Portugal Exhibition

This Saturday, in Minde,
opened the exhibition with the title: Roque Gameiro(1864-1935) by UrbanSketchers. It
consists on a revisit of the work of the great Portuguese watercolorist Roque Gameiro, that in 1925 published Lisboa Velha, figuring 100 paintings of different places of Lisbon. This summer, the UrbanSketcher community was challenged to search for this places and paint them once again, in the light of a current perspective. This challenge resulted on a total of more than 280 brilliant new works, made by several Portuguese urban sketchers, whom for several months,
followed the footsteps of Roque Gameiro to reconstitute his magnificent
perspectives, drawing the present-day picture of
them.
The exhibition is open at the Roque Gameiro Watercolor Museum, in Minde, the painter's hometown, featuring 81 works of 54 different authors.
